BVB will probably get nothing from the desired player

Borussia Dortmund appears to be empty-handed for the time being when it comes to courting top Spanish talent Ivan Fresneda. BVB could only try again with a view to the summer.

Ivan Fresneda, who was courted by Borussia Dortmund, among others, remains loyal to his training club Real Valladolid. This is reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Accordingly, a loan request for the 18-year-old right-back was rejected on Deadline Day. BVB and the Premier League leaders FC Arsenal, who are also interested, are initially left empty-handed, it is said.

However, according to Romano, Fresneda will switch to a top club in the summer. Then BVB has the next chance with the young talent.

15 million offer from BVB?

According to media reports, Borussia had recently offered a base fee of ten million euros plus possible bonus payments of five million euros for the object of desire.

There was talk of an immediate commitment in winter and a loan back to Valladolid until the end of the season. However, this model is not being implemented in reality – at least if you believe Fabrizio Romano.

The “kicker” recently reported on BVB’s fundamental interest in Fresneda.

No acute need for action at BVB

However, there was no acute need for action for Dortmund on Fresneda’s position.

Winter signing Julian Ryerson is at home at right-back, as are currently injured Thomas Meunier and Mateu Morey. All-rounder Marius Wolf and regular central defender Niklas Süle can also play there.

Valladolid had recently made no secret of being willing to talk to Fresneda.

“It is important for our growth that the sales are right. We work hand in hand with his advisors, who have shown us the interest of many clubs,” said sports director Fran Sánchez of “Marca”.
