Marcel Sabitzer (30th), Niclas Füllkrug (32nd), Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (45th) for the first time this season and Donyell Malen (90th + 7) scored the celebrated turnaround before the half-time whistle.
Confidently, soberly and effectively, Bayer Leverkusen fulfilled its Bundesliga duty against Werder Bremen 3-0 (2-0) and regained the league lead from Bayern Munich after just one day. In the second half, Alejandro Grimaldo (76th) once again brought the point home.
