BVB share: Adeyemi moves to Dortmund – defeat against FC Bayern

Sport1, “Bild” and the pay TV channel Sky had previously reported on Friday that both clubs had agreed on a transfer of the 20-year-old. Adeyemi has a five-year contract, only the signature of the courted offensive player is still missing. Execution should take place promptly.

After Munich’s Niklas Sle (26) and Freiburg’s Nico Schlotterbeck (22), Adeymi is the third German international to switch to Borussia Dortmund.

There are various statements about the amount of the transfer fee, from 30 to 38 million euros according to media reports. In addition, bonus payments could add another six million euros in the coming years, as reported by Sky.

Adeyemi’s contract in Salzburg runs until June 30, 2024. There has been speculation for months about a change after this season. Salzburg’s coach Matthias Jaissle also said before the Champions League exit at FC Bayern Munich that he expected a corresponding step. Likewise, Borussia Dortmund has long been the favorite to sign the fast striker. Adeyemi made his debut in the German national team in September 2021 and has played three international matches so far.

Zorc: Haaland move to England would “not come as a complete surprise”

According to sports director Michael Zorc, a move from Borussia Dortmund’s star striker Erling Haaland to the English Premier League would “not come as a complete surprise” to BVB. That’s what Zorc (59) said on the pay-TV channel Sky shortly before Dortmund’s top game on Saturday evening (6:30 p.m. / Sky) at FC Bayern. Haaland (21) has been associated with various top clubs for weeks, most recently with Manchester City. The Norway international can leave Dortmund after this season due to a €75m release clause.

Zorc avoided concrete statements. “I’ve also read a lot about what we’ve already done, what’s already signed,” said the outgoing sporting director. So far, only the transfer of Niklas Sle (26), who comes from Bayern in the summer, is fixed. According to dpa information, national player Karim Adeyemi (20) is also moving from Red Bull Salzburg to Dortmund for the coming season. “Obviously he’s a player we know well and don’t think is that bad,” said Zorc.

Bayern celebrate their championship decade – “Not the easiest season”

It wasn’t long before Julian Nagelsmann had a beer shower. Defender Benjamin Pavard landed the first direct hit with Munich’s youngest master coach. FC Bayern has been the historic ten-year champion since Saturday evening. In a top-class Bundesliga game against eternal rivals Borussia Dortmund, which was only of high quality in phases, the record champion confirmed his supremacy in German football, which has lasted since 2013, with a score of 3-1 (2-0).

The beer shower “felt good,” Nagelsmann reported later: “My first big title is very special.” Having achieved this in a direct comparison with Dortmund “puts the season in a better light”. The eleventh title win should follow in 2023.

Nagelsmann immortalized himself at the age of 34 as the second youngest champion coach in Bundesliga history. Only Matthias Sammer was a few days younger when BVB triumphed in 2002. “It wasn’t the easiest season for me,” said Nagelsmann after a few “slaps in the face”.

“We really wanted it today. We were able to get the frustration off our chests – everything is wonderful now,” said Bayern veteran Thomas Mller on Sky: “We have a great squad, we have great players, but you always have to do it first get back on the pitch. We’re twelve points away from our closest pursuer Dortmund. In the first half we showed what we were up to.”

However, the tenth championship title in a row will remain the only Munich trophy in a season that ended with great disappointment in the Champions League and DFB Cup with the loss to FC Villarreal and Borussia Mnchengladbach.

Offensive Serge Gnabry (15th minute), Robert Lewandowski (34th) and substitute Jamal Musiala (83rd) scored the Bayern goals on Saturday evening in front of 75,000 spectators in the Allianz Arena. BVB around the long-unseen goalkeeper Erling Haaland only showed themselves to be at eye level after the break: After Joshua Kimmich fouled Marco Reus, Emre Can scored from the penalty spot (52nd).

Immediately afterwards, Kapitn Reus came close to equalizing twice: once the Dortmund failed to national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (54th). Then Bayern defender Lucas Hernndez stopped him in dire need (55th). There was also a duel between Pavard and Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, in which the guests could have gotten a penalty (58′). “You can give it,” judged even Nagelsmann.

BVB coach Marco Rose congratulated Bayern fairly on the championship. He complained that his team “could have done better” in the better second half. And with a view to the coming season, he announced: “We will shake ourselves, re-establish ourselves.” And then “Borussia Dortmund will certainly be one of the first” clubs to try to “trip Bayern”.

On matchday 31 of the current season, however, Bayern fans kept shouting through the arena: “Only FCB will be German champions!” Twelve points ahead of BVB are clear. “We’re really happy. Of course it would be nicer with the real shell,” said captain Manuel Neuer before the start of the Munich party night.

“In the end it was important for us to end it sensibly after being eliminated by Villarreal,” commented Neuer. Eleven days after the knockout in the quarter-finals in the premier class, Bayern wanted to set an example again in the last big game of the season and please their own fans. Greater determination and greed led to success. In addition, the now 32-time German champion had quite an easy game with his goals.

Following a corner kick, national player Gnabry volleyed a header from Leon Goretzka into the left corner, making it unstoppable for Borussia goalkeeper Marwin Hitz. And Lewandowski scored his 33rd goal of the season after Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou lost possession in the build-up game. The template came from Thomas Mller, who is now the sole player record champion with eleven title wins.

What was possibly the last shooting competition between the top league strikers Lewandowski and Haaland ended again with the Bayern striker winning on points. Lewandowski not only scored, he was also more active than his young opponent from Norway, who hardly appeared. Hitz spectacularly defeated Lewandowski to make it 3-1 (69th). Haaland came late to two unsuccessful deals (80th/81st). Musiala then made the decision freestanding in front of Hitz.

BVB coach Rose announces new Dortmund attack for the new season

Immediately after winning the next German soccer championship from serial champion FC Bayern, coach Marco Rose announced a new attack from Borussia Dortmund in the coming season. “We’re talking about football, and in football you can be champions ten years in a row, maybe 15,” said BVB coach Rose. “But there are always teams trying to change that – and we’re one of them. We’ll shake ourselves and get back together.”

The Munich team celebrated their tenth German championship in a row with a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. “First of all, we can congratulate Bayern for today, but I think we should all try to make the championship exciting and even more exciting next year and trip the German record champions. Borussia Dortmund will certainly be one of the first be trying.”
