As the “Ruhr Nachrichten” report, the whereabouts of coach Mike Tullberg at the U19 of BVB over the 2024/25 season is anything but safe. On the contrary: a separation between club and coach is currently even “likely the most likely scenario,” writes the newspaper.
According to the report, the cause of Tullberg’s doubts about further cooperation is the squad structure of the Dortmund U19. This mainly consists of players from the younger years. Tullberg, on the other hand, would like more older players and a larger squad to better master the triple load and to be able to play all important titles until the end.

Tullberg has been part of the Dortmund coaching team since summer 2019. First he worked for the second team, then he became the coach of the U19. In the current season, he also took over the first team to bridge the time between Nuri Sahin and the arrival of Niko Kovac.
