And to Bellingham:
I find it amazing how positive Jude is about Haaland, as a fan I probably have a more negative view of his behavior in recent months.
I’m also happy to hear that Bellingham wants to be here next season.
I would have preferred to hear that he wants to stay here “for the next few years”, but of course there is a lot of wishful thinking on my part…
amazing? how come?
The fuss about Haaland and his contract, transfer, clause, advisor, father, house journalists, etc. has nothing to do with what Bellingham sees and hears.
If we look at how Haaland treats his teammates in training sessions, interviews and on the field, how he talks about them, cheers them on and celebrates even though he doesn’t score himself… that’s exactly what you actually want.
The fact that Jude, Reinier and Haaland have been the trio for the last 2 years also comes with it. You only saw them together in training. So I don’t think any other player will say anything negative here either. And as you say .. although we fans probably talk about him a little differently now than if he stayed ;P .. think his attitude on the field was always positive and energizing, except when he didn’t take his chances and it didn’t work out much then he liked to complain to himself ^^
There was also 1-2 news before the game that Haaland was mad at Nobby because that Nobby actually always screams his name 3 times and lastly he only did it 1 time… and Haaland probably didn’t like that and yes for exactly then there were headlines
After the game today, Earl also spoke to Nobby and it looked like Nobby said “Sorry that I only called your name once again today” Earl just laughed and patted him on the shoulder. When saying goodbye, he didn’t seem as if he didn’t care. He wanted this farewell and deserved it in the end. We will have theater with all top talents and we always did. The only one where that didn’t exist was Pulisic.. although this wasn’t a 100% tribe either.
I also meant that I was with my opinion, Haaland (“Earl”?! Really now? ) had been gone for months in my thoughts and thought he was something better anyway, didn’t meet the team’s opinion.
The fact that Reinier was/is so big with Haaland and Bellingham completely passed me by for some reason.
But hey, I don’t live in Dortmund, so I can’t go to training (and probably wouldn’t – I’m a fan, but not a fanatic.
(And yes, I’m perfectly aware that the former is an abbreviation of the latter… )
But that suddenly explains why Rose kept replacing Reinier: afraid of Erling and Jude, of course, or that they wouldn’t want to if Reinier wasn’t allowed to play too.
Uh, where was I?
Oh yes:
The theater around Haaland was a bit more violent from all sides (media anyway, but also fans and especially Nobby Dickel! ) than with all previous stars, I think.
I’ve never experienced such a one-man show at BVB and I don’t want to do it again.
It was something of a (one-man) boy band and screaming girlies…
