BVB jewel apparently before a long-term extension

Alongside his compatriot Jude Bellingham, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens is currently the biggest talent in the Borussia Dortmund squad. Apparently, a long-term extension of the 17-year-old Englishman at BVB is already a thing of the past.

So far, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has played a full 132 minutes in the Borussia Dortmund squad. A manageable period of time, but in which the winger already understood how to hint at his potential.

Fast, technically strong, excellent at dribbling – it is not for nothing that Bynoe-Gittens raises high hopes and memories of Jadon Sancho at BVB, who left the club in the summer of 2021 for 85 million euros in the direction of Manchester United.

Will Jamie Bynoe-Gittens start at BVB?

BVB officials want Bynoe-Gittens to really take off in black and yellow for the new season and become a fully-fledged squad alternative.

What’s more: Because players with his profile are few and far between in the team of new coach Edin Terzic, the top talent can even hope for a place in the extended permanent staff.

Bynoe-Gittens’ medium-term future at BVB has apparently already been clarified.

As “Sport1” reports, a contract will come into effect on the 17-year-old jewel’s 18th birthday, i.e. on August 8th. Bynoe-Gittens’ contract, which was previously dated until 2023, will then run for another three years until 2026.

BVB: Automatic contract extension also with Bellingham and Reyna

BVB had done something similar in the past with Jude Bellingham and US youngster Giovanni Reyna. Both of them also extended their contracts when they came of age.

Both are currently tied to Borussia until 2025 – without an exit clause, which should not exist at Bynoe-Gittens either.

Around Bellingham there were even rumors in the spring that BVB wanted to extend the contract with the top performer again.
