What is striking, however, is Sina’s striking resemblance to Großkreutz’s ex Carolin. The BVB favorite confirmed his separation from the daughter of a Dortmund dentist and mother of his children Leonie (6) and Linus (4) in a “Bild” interview last September.
“In life things often turn out differently than you plan. We simply grew apart,” said Großkreutz at the time.
Only a year earlier he had married his long-term partner in church. At the time of the interview, Carolin had already moved out of the house they shared in the south of Dortmund.
“The most important thing for both of us is that the kids don’t suffer from it. And that they can always enjoy the affection of their parents to the same extent,” emphasized Großkreutz, who is still active in amateur football and acts as a BVB ambassador.
