In the winter transfer window, VfB Stuttgart is said to have worked in vain to get midfielder Hugo Vetlesen away from Norwegian first division club FK Bodö/Glimt. Instead of switching to the German football upper house, the 22-year-old has now extended his contract in his home country. The interest of the Swabians should not be demolished. However, the chances of a deal are unlikely to have increased, because four other clubs in the Bundesliga are said to have their sights set on the international.
According to a report by “Sky”, VfB Stuttgart is “still hot” for a commitment from Hugo Vetlesen from FK Bodö/Glimt. However, the TV broadcaster claims to have learned that four other Bundesliga clubs, Borussia Dortmund, Hertha BSC, Union Berlin and VfL Bochum, are also digging on the right foot.

Vetlesen began his career at Stabaek IF, where he quickly became a regular and played over 100 competitive games before his path led to the Norwegian top club Bodö/Glimt.
In northern Norway, Vetlesen took the next step and proved that he is more than a fighter in central midfield: in 2021 he scored five goals and prepared seven in the Norwegian annual league, last year he increased this to 16 league goals and twelve assists.
