BVB duo works for a quick comeback

Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel is apparently threatening Borussia Dortmund to miss the upcoming Bundesliga game against Werder Bremen. According to a media report, BVB attacker Sébastien Haller is currently making “slight progress”.

Groundbreaking duels await Borussia Dortmund. BVB will be visiting Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Saturday evening (6:30 p.m.). The following Wednesday (9 p.m.) the Westphalians will host PSV Eindhoven for the second leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League.

A quick return of Gregor Kobel and Sébastien Haller would therefore be important. The BVB duo had to pass at the end. Kobel suffered from muscular problems. Haller suffered an ankle injury at the Africa Cup of Nations.

According to “Ruhr Nachrichten”, Kobel continued to train individually on Tuesday. The goalkeeper should therefore be wobbling for the upcoming game at Werder Bremen. The Swiss are probably aiming for a duel with PSV Eindhoven. Deputy Alexander Meyer could therefore play at the weekend, as he did in BVB’s last three competitive games.

BVB: Sébastien Haller is working towards a comeback

And what about Haller? According to the “Ruhr Nachrichten”, the center forward is making “slight progress”. The 29-year-old is already undergoing individual training in order to be available again as quickly as possible.

The fact is: BVB can use any help. Dortmund are currently in fourth place in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig is lurking one point behind. Qualifying for the Champions League is seen as an absolute obligation for the reigning runner-up.

The Black and Yellows are on target in the premier class. In the first leg of the round of 16 there was a 1-1 draw in Eindhoven. A home win against PSV next week would obviously be enough to advance.
