After Bundesliga debut
Goalkeeper Marcel Lotka is moving from Hertha BSC Berlin to Borussia Dortmund next summer and will join the Westphalian side there. The club in the capital confirmed the transfer of the 20-year-old, who had been between the posts for the first time in the 3-0 defeat against Freiburg last weekend.
For Lotka, however, his Bundesliga debut was born more out of a lack of personnel. The “table football” reported on Tuesday after the announcement by the Berliners that the young goalkeeper did not feel appreciated enough by Hertha. The capital club have therefore made no move to extend the expiring contract. Lotka’s situation with the “Old Lady” turned out to be without prospects. In addition to goal rivals Alexander Schwolow and Rune Jarstein, the Dane Oliver Christensen bears the stamp of hope for the future more than Lotka.

Since then, he had been a member of Hertha’s Bundesliga squad four times and kept goal for the regional league team in eleven games. The 1.90 meter tall keeper made his debut during his time in Poland’s U20 national team. Lotka’s contract expires at the end of the season, the move to BVB is free of charge.
