BVB bosses hope for a quick decision from Erling Haaland

Practically the entire transfer summer at Borussia Dortmund depends on the personality of Erling Haaland. 75 million euros plus bonuses could flow into BVB’s coffers for the goalkeeper’s departure. The fact that Haaland keeps delaying his future decision is apparently increasingly annoying the club bosses.

Those responsible for sport around managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke, sports director Michael Zorc and license player manager Sebastian Kehl finally want to be certain about Erling Haaland’s personnel in order to be able to tackle the further transfer summer more concretely and with new facts.

As stated in a report by the “picture“Meaning, the BVB bosses hope for a final decision in April.

The fact that all ambiguities are cleared up by then is not only in the interests of the people involved at Borussia Dortmund, but also of the players themselves and of any interested clubs.

According to media reports, the contract clause expires on April 30, according to which Haaland can change for the fixed sum of 75 million euros. After that, a transfer fee would be freely negotiable again.

If the Haaland change is made clear in April, there should also be new movement in the current transfer backlog at Karim Adeyemi and Nico Schlotterbeck.

Erling Haaland has been without a league goal for BVB for almost three months

Both the attacker from RB Salzburg and the central defender from SC Freiburg are at the top of the black and yellow wish list. A decision has not yet been made in either case, which is also due to the unclear Haaland situation.

From a sporting point of view, the ongoing fuss about his person is not good for the Norwegian international. For the first time in his time in Dortmund, Haaland has not scored in five consecutive league games.

BVB head coach Marco Rose excused this primarily with an ankle injury in the 21-year-old. Nevertheless, Haaland’s current goal doldrums have recently become an increasingly important topic around the second in the table.

Haaland scored his last Bundesliga goal for Dortmund before his thigh injury on January 22 in the 3-2 win against 1899 Hoffenheim.
