Borussia Dortmund will play against Eindhoven in the round of 16 of the Champions League. That was the result of the draw on Monday. However, this took place without the BVB club bosses.
The Champions League round of 16 draw on Monday in Nyon, Switzerland took place without the managing directors of Borussia Dortmund. Club boss Hans-Joachim Watzke and Carsten Cramer flew on a private jet, but were not given permission to land because of the bad weather.
The runner-up announced this on the sidelines of the draw, in which Dortmund faced PSV Eindhoven with former BVB coach Peter Bosz as their opponent.
Coach Edin Terzić commented on the draw afterwards: “We knew that there would still be difficult tasks. Eindhoven is playing a perfect season at home, with 48 points from 16 games,” said the 41-year-old. “We also know Peter Bosz very well from his time here. We’re looking forward to the draw. We have a great chance of moving into the next round.”
