The loan deal between Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt with Ansgar Knauff ends in the summer. However, the youngster will probably not return to BVB.
As “Sport1” reports, there was a breakthrough in the talks between Knauff and those responsible at SGE. Accordingly, the BVB loan sees its future in Frankfurt and would like to stay with the eagle carriers.
A return to Borussia Dortmund is not an option for Knauff despite his contract until 2024.
However, there have not yet been any negotiations between Eintracht and BVB. According to the report, both parties must next agree on a transfer fee.
The SBU hopes that the district club will agree to five million euros. According to “Sky”, however, the black and yellow demand seven million euros. “Bild” recently wrote that a corresponding customer would have to put five million euros on the table for the U21 international.
The “kicker” had recently reported that a Knauff return to BVB is “rather unlikely”.
Therefore, according to the specialist magazine, those responsible at BVB are not averse to selling Knauff.
Knauff switched from Borussia Dortmund to Eintracht Frankfurt in the winter of 2021/2022, promptly won the Europa League with the SGE in the same season and was named the best young player by UEFA.
Knauff is not a regular player at Eintracht Frankfurt
However, Knauff no longer has a regular place in the current season. Germany’s U21 international has 23 appearances in the Bundesliga, and he was only allowed to play 14 times from the start. The yield of one goal and two assists is also expandable.
Nevertheless, Frankfurt apparently wants to commit to the BVB loan.
