BVB apparently uses Gladbach

It is an open secret that Ramy Bensebaini will not extend his contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach, which expires at the end of June. As already suspected, the full-back should move to BVB.

The hanging game around Ramy Bensebaini from Borussia Mönchengladbach should be over. According to “Sky”, it is clear that the Algerian will turn his back on the team from the Lower Rhine at the end of the season and join Borussia Dortmund.

According to the TV broadcaster, BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl has now sealed the deal in “final talks”. A fee is not due.

The report leaves open how long Bensebaini will sign with BVB and whether a bonus is due. There is also no official confirmation from the parties involved.

Bensebaini moved from Stade Rennes to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2019 for around eight million euros, where he quickly became a regular. In the current season alone, the Algerian international has played 22 league games in which he scored five goals.

BVB in a comfortable situation

BVB is in a comfortable position with the transfer. The working paper of Raphael Guerreiro, who regularly works on the left defensive side in Dortmund, also expires in the summer, a whereabouts is still in the stars.

The Portuguese is undoubtedly one of the most attacking representatives of his guild, but has to put up with the accusation that his defensive behavior has not been clarified.

In Gladbach, meanwhile, one should not react too surprised to the reports. “It was always the case that we gave away players. […] You always have to plan in such a way that the two players – it’s not just about Ramy, but also about Thuram – leave us. That’s what we do,” said sports director Roland Virkus at the beginning of March.

Attacker Marcus Thuram can also leave the Fohlenelf free of charge in the summer.
