Suspended for months
Rumors about Jadon Sancho returning to Borussia Dortmund have been persistent for months – and are now gaining momentum again. How “SkyReporter Florian Plettenberg reports that BVB is talking to Manchester United about the possibility of a six-month loan. The transfer was desired by the 23-year-old winger. It depends on whether the “Red Devils” would agree with the model or push for a sale in order to be able to reinvest the transfer fee.

Total costs for BVB are under discussion in the amount of 3 million euros for the loan fee and partial assumption of Sancho’s salary. According to English media reports, other clubs are also interested in the offensive player, including West Ham United.

Despite the sporting crisis, Sancho has been out of Man United since the end of August with just one win from the last five league games and elimination from the Champions League as bottom of the group. Coach Erik ten Hag had suspended the third-biggest market value loser of 2023 for disciplinary reasons; a departure in the winter has long been considered certain.
In December, a possible swap with Dortmund striker Donyell Malen (24), who was willing to emigrate, was brought into play – but that did not materialize.
