BVB and FC Bayern agree on Sabitzer transfer – Goretzka wants to stay

Transfer higher than the RB departure

“The transfer window is still open for a very, very long time. So just be patient,” said Borussia Dortmund’s head of sport Sebastian Kehl on Saturday when asked about further additions to the runners-up. It doesn’t seem to be that long until the next BVB transfer is confirmed: according to “skyThe Black and Yellows have reached an agreement with FC Bayern Munich on the transfer of Marcel Sabitzer.

According to this, Dortmund will pay a fee of up to 19 million euros, including bonuses, for the 29-year-old midfielder, who could close the gap that Jude Bellingham (20) tore with his transfer to Real Madrid – together with Felix Nmecha (22), who was also newly signed. Bayern had paid 15 million euros to RB Leipzig in 2021 and could therefore even make a small transfer profit.

For Sabitzer, who has long been associated with a departure in Munich despite a contract that runs until 2025, the competition has intensified further with the signing of Konrad Laimer (26; RB Leipzig) in midfield. Sabitzer had already left Bavaria temporarily in the second half of the previous season and was loaned to Manchester United. The Austrian international would be the 15th transfer between BVB and the record champions. Most recently, the Revierklub took Niklas Süle (27) from FC Bayern on a free transfer a year ago.

Goretzka confirms his wish to stay at Bayern Munich

As recently suspected, national player Leon Goretzka (28), who was also briefly linked to Dortmund, has no interest in leaving FC Bayern. When asked if he could consider leaving, the midfielder told reporters: “No. I love the club, I love the city, I love the fans.”

Coach Thomas Tuchel had not ruled out a Goretzka change until the beginning of September, Manchester United and West Ham United are considered candidates. The Munich “Evening News“reported on Sunday that the “Red Devils” had made a specific request two years ago, but not so far this summer.
