WWE Hall of Famer Robert Miller, better known in the ring as Butch, part of the tag team Bushwhackers, has passed away at the age of 78. The news was confirmed by her couple partner Luke Williams in an Instagram post. “Our dear Bob is gone. Those who love us never really leave us. There are things that death cannot touch. We will always love you Uncle Bob Miller until we meet again. I love you”.

History

The tag team formed by the two New Zealanders was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015, after a very long journey and a successful career. Initially known as The Kiwis, Miller and Williams made their debut in the world of wrestling in the distant 1966. Their period in Wwe between 1989 and 1996 is memorable, when The Bushwhackers represented one of the face couples (the good ones within the script) more loved by the public. Miller and Williams had the opportunity to clash with legends such as Sgt. Slaughter and the tag team The Bolsheviks (Boris Zhukov & Nikolai Volkoff). The Bushwackers presented themselves as crude characters and their segments with the longtime announcer Mean Gene Okerlund remain in the memory, in which Butch & Luke ate raw fish and did things not suitable for live television. Also known for their past in old Nwa, the Bushwackers are part of wrestling history.
