In August, the trade associations ANWR Schuh GmbH and Sabu Schuh & Marketing GmbH announced closer cooperation for the “revitalization of the trade fair landscape”, but now they are backtracking.
The shoe industry’s order fairs will continue to be organized in the old rhythm for the time being, ANWR announced on Thursday. The decision was made in order to gain time for “intensive joint work and to coordinate the results with the affected stakeholders”.
The original plan for the trade fair cooperation fueled the intended exchange and the necessary discussion about the trade fair landscape in the shoe trade, according to the statement. Now it’s about working together with retailers and industry on an industry solution. The aim remains to optimize the seasonal timing for the industry.
However, things won’t stay the same, because ANWR will be introducing the ANWR Order Lifestyle-Sport & Outdoor for the early order dates in the sports and outdoor sector in the coming season.
