Busy summer for sea rescue services
The reason is of course the particularly good summer weather, where many tourists descended on the coast. Last summer the weather was a lot less and because of corona there were a lot of rules in 2020, making it a lot less busy at the sea. The high number of drowning people during the interventions is striking: the rescue services had to turn out 35 times for people in need in the water. In the summer of 2021, that was only 9 times.
