Rijkswaterstaat advises working from home on Thursday or going on the road later to avoid the morning rush hour. Heavy traffic is expected on the roads due to stormy weather, with rain showers and strong gusts of wind alternating.
In the night from Wednesday to Thursday it will rain heavily from the southwest. It will also rain in many places on Thursday morning.
Due to soaking wet roads, the wind that can push water up the road and the gray weather, traffic can have less visibility, Weeronline reports.
The busiest morning rush hour this year was on September 27. There were then 925 kilometers of traffic jams in the country. It also came to a standstill for hundreds of kilometers on the Brabant highways.
