It’s busy on the road this morning. There are already many traffic jams in the province due to an accident and bad weather. There are significant delays on the A7, A8, A9.
Traffic is at a standstill on the A8 between Zaandam and Amsterdam, where the delay is about an hour and according to Rijkswaterstaat, this is still increasing. An accident has occurred near Oostzaan and the left lane is closed.
Traffic is at a standstill on the connecting road A7 between Hoorn and Zaanstad. The delay there is now about 40 minutes, but this will increase according to Rijkswaterstaat.
If you drive on the A9 between Alkmaar and Amstelveen, you should expect about half an hour’s delay. Traffic is slowly starting again there.
It is also at a standstill on the A22 towards Beverwijk, road users should expect about twenty minutes extra travel time.
