With BIA, the 51-year-old has a top-class feature guest at the start.
Busta Rhymes released the single “BEACH BALL” along with the music video on Friday (June 23). With BIA, he has brought a top-class feature guest on board. In the clip, a camera moves along a beach where, in addition to the rappers, mostly scantily clad women are lounging. But there are also some well-known faces there: Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and other representatives of the US rap business have guest appearances.
On “BEACH BALL,” BIA and Busta rap rhymes over a hitmaka club beat that’s been pared down to the bare minimum. The two use a similar flow that gives context to the track. This is primarily of a sexual nature. “Drag me to a dressing room and give me top until she coughin’ / Waterfallin’, suckin’ on these beach balls,” raps Busta in his part. The song generally offers little change, there are hardly any moments of surprise. The piece therefore sounds like a track designed for the club.
Whether “BEACH BALL” is a release from an upcoming album is not known. It’s definitely conceivable, because it was only in May that Busta Rhymes announced that a new record was in the works. He named Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams and himself as executive producers. Taking to Instagram, the 51-year-old vowed the album would “change culture”. However, there are no more details yet. The New Yorker released his last longplayer EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT 2: THE WRATH OF GOD in 2020.
