A man crossing the road was hit by a car on Tuesday just after five o’clock in the afternoon on Nieuwstraat in Bergeijk. The man got off the bus moments before. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The man wanted to cross the road at the front of the bus. At that moment, a car drove past the bus to overtake the bus. The car therefore collided with the man, who then hit his head on the road surface.
Several emergency services responded to the report. An air ambulance also landed. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance. It is still unclear exactly what injuries the man has.
