Because there are not enough big yellow cars driving on the planned road sections, the court put the project of the Green Senator Bettina Jarasch on hold.
The traffic senate puts planned bus lanes on hold. The reason for this: judges had the new markings on Clayallee removed after five months.
The reasoning of the court for the section between Argentinischer Allee and Riemeisterstraße: There are only nine buses per hour. However, this only justifies a special patrol if there are 20 buses/hour or more – or a dangerous situation and a significant time saving.
Traffic Senator Bettina Jarasch (53/Greens) actually gave the green light for eleven routes as part of her 100-day program at the end of March.
But before the marking and signs are commissioned after the tender, your house will check the requirements again after the judge’s verdict.
Because even on these routes, the buses only run in small numbers:
► There are only 12 buses per hour on Hubertusallee (300 m, Herthastrasse to Lynarstrasse).
► Britzer Damm (3670 m) in three sections
► Spandau on Brunsbütteler Damm (210 m, Wilhelmshavener to Klosterstraße)
► Tempelhof on Malteserstraße (700 m).
“The 100-day program is a non-starter. So far, not a single bus lane has been implemented, and it is questionable whether any can be implemented at all,” criticizes FDP traffic expert Felix Reifschneider (44).
The FDP politician continues: “It is a drama for the passengers that the Senate does not manage to arrange and implement bus lanes in a legally secure manner.”
