A remarkable scene on a bus from transport company South West Tours on Tuesday morning. A group of passengers checked in from the Zuidlaardermarkt with a very special traveling group. The pony you just purchased travels with you. “We hope not to experience it again,” says director Ron Veenhuis.
After seeing the remarkable images, the director talked to the driver. He told him that on his last ride he had to deal with a group of ten people, all of whom had been watching carefully. A discussion arose between the group and the driver, where the latter eventually sulkily agreed to the animal’s entrance.
“My driver had completed a shift of almost twelve hours and was on his last ride. Because he did not want to argue with the drunken young people, he reluctantly agreed and allowed the pony. But he did not have a nice feeling about it. about,” says Veenhuis.
The driver told his boss that he felt guilty about the course of events. Veenhuis: “My colleague felt sorry for the animal, but at the same time did everything he could to move the animal as comfortably as possible.” The bus ride took longer than usual. “Normally this ride between Zuidlaren and Assen took twenty minutes, but this time it took my colleague 35 minutes. He drove extra softly, purely to protect the pony.”
