Burnley FC part ways with manager Sean Dyche – after more than nine years

Burnley FC have only managed one win from their last four games. They are currently in 18th place in the table. The club probably needed a change – and are throwing out head coach Sean Dyche.

After a number of defeats in the current Premier League season, the English football club FC Burnley is parting ways with its long-time coach Sean Dyche. This season’s results have been disappointing, club chairman Alan Pace said in a Good Friday statement.

Nine and a half years in service

Whilst this was a difficult decision, it was believed that change was necessary “to give the squad the best possible chance of maintaining their Premier League status”.

Burnley are currently 18th in relegation in the league. Dyche, 50, had coached the club for nine and a half years, making him the longest-serving manager in the Premier League, according to the club. His successor was initially unclear.
