Burglary in a fruit and vegetable company: little loot but a lot of damage

The police are looking for two burglars who stole two cash registers from a fruit and vegetable company in Goirle on November 20 last year. Even though it has been a while, according to police spokesperson Dik Advocaat, the investigation is not giving up in this case. “They are probably professional burglars who need to be stopped.”

The two wanted men showed up at the company on Turnhoutsebaan at ten past three in the morning. Surveillance images show them entering the site. It looks like they know their way around. Once inside a warehouse with fruit and vegetables, they immediately go to the cash registers there.

Gross violence
They try for minutes to open the cash drawers. It looks like they are searching on their cell phones for the manual to open the cash registers. If that doesn’t work, they try brute force. The duo tries to pry open a cash drawer with hand tools. With no success, so they carry the two well-secured cash registers with them.

According to the police, the company was wise enough not to leave large amounts of money in the cash registers. The burglary therefore yielded little. Although the burglars have disguised themselves well, the police hope that there are people who recognize the perpetrators by their stature and way of moving.
