Two men broke into a house on the Banckspolder in Hoofddorp last night. When the burglars were caught, they fled. Several police units searched the neighborhood, but they could no longer find the duo.
The men broke into the house in the Floriande district between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., a police spokesperson said. The burglars entered the house by destroying the lock. They fled after being caught red-handed. The police cannot say whether this was done by the resident of the house.

To find the burglars faster, the police started a search at 9:04 PM last night Citizens’ Network Action where local participants received a message to be on the lookout for the two men.
The police describe the burglars as two darkly dressed men with short hair. One was around 1.80 meters tall and of heavy build, the other man is described by the police as slender.
The men have not yet been arrested, the spokesperson said. The police are still investigating and looking for witnesses.
