Burglars observe victims during mass or at the market: two brothers arrested

The first facts came to light in East Flanders, but research shows that the gang was also active in our province. It’s all about twenty facts. They observed churchgoers and market vendors, thus finding out where people lived and when they were not at home. During the break-ins, they would always make off with jewelry and money, leaving the house in total disarray.

The investigation led to house searches in Wallonia, in which a man aged 19 and two brothers aged 35 and 45 were arrested. The 19-year-old man was released under conditions, the investigating judge in Oudenaarde is now releasing him again under strict conditions. The two brothers have been arrested.
