A committee is set to see how the 25 million euros can best be spent. Former minister Jet Bussemaker is the chairman of that committee, which further consists of Bart Wallet, Boaz Cahn, Dienke Hondius, Sharon Kijl and Bertien Minco.
Together with the Dutch Railways and the GVB, the municipality still wants to place stumbling stones at the Muiderpoort station and on Stationsplein. This is because most Holocaust victims were taken here. Furthermore, there will be a stumbling stone on Jonas Daniël Meijerplein, because the first large raids took place there. Those raids were the reason for the February strike.
