BERLIN (dpa-AFX) – The Bundestag will debate on Wednesday the federal government’s controversial plans for cuts to farmers. The tax relief for agricultural diesel is to be gradually abolished. This is part of the Budget Financing Act, which the Bundestag is discussing for the first time.
At the request of the AfD parliamentary group, there is also a current hour on the situation in agriculture, among other things. On Monday there was a demonstration in Berlin with thousands of farmers against the planned cancellation of tax relief.
At the beginning of the Bundestag session, Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) and Development Minister Svenja Schulze (SPD) answer questions in the plenary session./hoe/DP/jha
