Midfielder Grischa Prömel from TSG Hoffenheim suffered an ankle fracture in the Bundesliga game against RB Leipzig (1:3).
TSG Hoffenheim may have to do without midfielder Grischa Prömel until the end of the season. According to TSG coach Andre Breitenreiter, the 27-year-old suffered an “ankle fracture” in the Bundesliga match against RB Leipzig (1: 3). There is also a risk that “the ligaments too” will be affected. According to the club, Prömel underwent surgery on the right lateral ankle in Heidelberg on Saturday evening.
Collision with own teammate
The TSG player had an unfortunate collision with his team-mate Christoph Baumgartner after just under a quarter of an hour. “I’m extremely sorry,” said Baumgartner after the game.
The 27-year-old’s World Cup dream was shattered. Prömel was on the provisional list of national coach Hansi Flick for the tournament in Qatar. The midfielder came to Kraichgau from Union Berlin in the summer and was one of the best regulars at TSG to date.
