In the coming season, the Werder Bremen soccer team will probably play in the Weser Stadium for the first time.
The home game of the Bundesliga team against SC Freiburg at the end of November is to take place in the arena, as President Hubertus Hess-Grunewald announced at the traditional “Tach der Fans” event.
Those responsible are currently clarifying the details. “I’m very confident that we can implement our plan and I’m hoping for a lot of support from our fans,” said the Werder president.
The encounter between the Hanseatic League and Freiburg will take place on the eighth day of the game (November 25th to 27th). The timely appointment by the German Football Association is still pending.
