Bundesliga: Union Berlin signs ex-national player Kevin Volland

1. FC Union Berlin has signed Kevin Volland. This was announced by the Bundesliga soccer team on Thursday. The ex-national player moves from AS Monaco from the French Ligue 1 to Köpenick.

The 31-year-old previously played for Bayer Leverkusen and TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. According to media reports, the transfer fee for the attacker should be four million euros, and a further 1.5 million euros could be added as bonus payments.

Volland has played 15 international matches in which he scored a goal. The native Bavarian made his last appearance in a DFB jersey in June 2021 in the European Championship game against Hungary. Volland has been active in Monaco since 2020. He played a total of 115 competitive games for the Monegasques and scored 39 goals.
