Bundesliga | THW Kiel signs Myrhol as Pekeler replacement

Handball record champion THW Kiel reacted to the injury of pivot and defense chief Hendrik Pekeler and signed the Norwegian Bjarte Myrhol for the last three games of the season.

This was announced by the Bundesliga second. The 40-year-old Myrhol has already played for HSG Nordhorn and Rhein-Neckar Löwen in the Bundesliga. With 263 appearances, he is Norway’s record national player. His last game to date was last year at the Tokyo Olympics.

“If a club like THW Kiel needs short-term support, you set off,” said the Norwegian. Pekeler will be absent from THW until the new season after tearing his Achilles tendon.
