For Union it was the third defeat in a row in the Bundesliga. The Berliners have not scored their own goal for 276 minutes – the last Bundesliga goal scorer was Max Kruse, who now prefers to play in Wolfsburg. In general, there are indications that they may have to split the story of this season in Berlin into a chapter with and one without Kruse.
With 34 points, Union is only bottom of the table, but can continue to dream of qualifying for a European competition again.
