Bundesliga: Gladbach’s Hofmann back in individual training

Training individually again: Jonas Hofmann from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Status: 10/25/2022 5:09 p.m

National soccer player Jonas Hofmann is working on a quick comeback in time for the World Cup in Qatar.

Exactly one week after spraining his shoulder joint in the 2-1 defeat at SV Darmstadt in the DFB Cup, the Borussia attacking player again completed individual training without the ball on the pitch. Players and club are confident that Hofmann, unlike teammate Hannes Wolf, will not be out for too long and can play the World Cup.

Wolf also sustained an acromioclavicular joint fracture in September and, according to Borussia, will not be able to play again this year. In contrast to Hofmann, however, Wolf’s bones are also damaged.

“We’re talking about weeks with him, not months,” Gladbach’s coach Daniel Farke said recently about Hofmann. The World Cup in Qatar starts on November 20th. Hofmann is set by national coach Hansi Flick.
