Bundesliga: Eintracht Frankfurt draws against VfL Wolfsburg – fan protests again

But again, I don’t understand why there is no noticeable headwind from the Ultras SGE against Hellmann!!!?

Because he lets them do what they do and doesn’t question them, because he pays every bill that comes in as a result of their behavior without any major consequences.

Today’s is exactly what I said before among friends: after the investor deal was spontaneously canceled with a few pithy words, without really having had any discussions, let alone timetables, profit expectations, i.e. rationally attributing the benefits of this oh-so-important deal explain, it was clear that the Ultras would see this as a total win for themselves. And that paved the way for further protests, regardless of the topic.

I really hope that this remains an isolated case, because something completely crazy like this can cause lasting damage to the Bundesliga. This is also about future TV money, sponsorship contracts, etc. No broadcaster will put a lot of money into a product that is, in principle, determined by people which a) are not the target group of pay-TV channels and b) are annoyingly interrupted from the actual event for which many people pay money.

The same applies to sponsors who go beyond the scope of the regional tennis club or insurance broker. The club expects professional interaction with each other and the sponsor also takes a close look at its partner; if such noise persists, it can be more harmful than useful.

You have to make this clear to yourself: 50-70k spectators fit into a stadium like this, a very small part of them are organized as fans, pay for subsidized standing places, i.e. something around €10-15 per game (which is nothing for a premium product) and they want it determine the rules? No, sorry, but really no, they protested because the majority of them didn’t want this deal, mind you, they wouldn’t have had anything against THIS deal, they wouldn’t have had anything against another one.

And now something like this happens? Then what next? Everyone out who has sold shares in their corporation? Selling off the stadium’s naming rights? No, that’s not how it works, Frankfurt is also benefiting massively from the current situation – Muani has been sold to PSG, an investor club backed by an oil sheikh, basically an entire state! ….but their coal was completely ok, at least I didn’t see any posters against it on the curves.

Sorry for the OT and wall of text, but I have a pulse right now!

It’s a nice text and plausible for your point of view, but I have to tell you that we are on different sides of this topic and I think you misunderstood me.
I thought the protest was very good and I am also very happy with the result.
I just find the Ultras Frankfurt a bit strange in this matter. Protest on the one hand, Hellmann as a figurehead for the club on the other.

By the way, I don’t see the Bundesliga as a premium product and I definitely think that “we fans” have more say or value than sponsors or TV partners.
Of course not directly financially, but in every other respect.
Also financially because, roughly speaking, the sponsors and television income are also financed by “us” because the value for this of course has to be created first and by who???
Exactly…the football fans.
