Bundesliga comeback official! VfL Wolfsburg bring in Niko Kovac as their new coach

VfL Wolfsburg has signed Niko Kovac as the new head coach. The wolves announced this today. VfL is Kovac’s third club in the Bundesliga.

He’s back: Niko Kovac returns to the Bundesliga and takes over as coach at VfL Wolfsburg. The Lower Saxony announced this on Tuesday. He signs a contract until 2025.

Kovac: “I’m a child of the Bundesliga”

“When filling the coaching position, it was important to me that we not only find someone quickly, but above all hire a coach who can develop and advance VfL Wolfsburg in the long term. So I’m very pleased that we have Niko von on our way and were able to win for VfL,” said the VfL managing director in a press release from the club.

Kovac is also looking forward to the new task. “I’m a child of the Bundesliga and I’m very keen and motivated to start another successful chapter with the Wolves,” said the new coach.

Kovac is an old acquaintance in the Bundesliga. Most recently, he coached AS Monaco in France, but before that he was a coach at FC Bayern and Eintracht Frankfurt. In Germany, he won the DFB Cup (2018) with SBU and the league and cup double with Bayern in 2019. Now he should lead VfL to success.
