Hamburg (dpa) – All 38 clubs in the 1st and 2nd Handball Bundesliga submitted the licensing documents for the 2022/23 season on time, the Handball Bundesliga (HBL) announced.
A decision by the licensing commission on the 18 clubs in the 1st and 20 representatives of the 2nd division is expected at the end of April. As a precaution, 16 clubs from the 3rd leagues have applied for a license for the 2nd league. For the 2022/23 season, two clubs will be promoted to the second division.
