Jari “Bull” Mentula drove the Nokia-arena audience wild when he was picked up on the light board in the SM league match between Ilves and Kärppi.
Mentula was wearing a game shirt with tassel ears and was waving the Ilves logo on the chest of the shirt at the camera.
Lihaskimpu has been enthusiastic about going very actively to Ilves matches recently.
To Mentula’s chagrin, the team from Tampere lost to Kärpi in overtime 3–4. He scored the decisive goal from in front of the goal with superiority Joonas Kemppainen.

In the SM league, two real dream hits were close to being born on Friday. Defender of flies Tommi Kivistö tried an aerial shot, and Tappara’s goalkeeper Christian Heljanko shot the puck past the empty Ässie goal.
Tappara beat Ässät Pori 4–3 and moved past Jukurie into second place in the standings. Ilves continues to lead.
In the third match of the round, KalPa defeated SaiPa away 2–1. Matyas Kantner dramatically decided the game just 30 seconds before the final buzzer. The situation was preceded by a terrible mistake with the puck by a SaiPa player.
