Buchten is the arrival point of the ZLM Tour in Limburg on Friday 10 June.
The ZLM Tour, which will be held from 8 to 12 June, starts this year with two stages in the province of Zeeland. Kapelle and Goes are the finishing places. After the Zeeland stages, the ZLM Tour continues with stages in Limburg and North Brabant. Mierlo and Rijsbergen are the stage places on Saturday and Sunday. The Limburg stage to Buchten will start on Friday in the municipality of Leudal.
Mike Teunissen was the last winner of the ZLM Tour in 2019. The Jumbo-Visma rider then captured the leader’s jersey in Buchten, which he did not relinquish in the remaining stages.
In 2020 and 2021, the stage race was canceled due to the corona measures. The Cycling Committee in Buchten has succeeded in concluding a contract with organizer Libéma Profcycling for the next three years.
