Buchmann wants to get a European Championship medal with TSG Bremerhaven in Vienna

These are currently stressful days for Dirk Buchmann, because as a teacher and coach at TSG he is under a lot of pressure. The Bremerhaven want to convince again on Saturday in Vienna.

Dirk Buchmann’s days are currently very busy. During the day he teaches children something as a primary school teacher at the Goethe School in Bremerhaven, in the evening he prepares TSG Bremerhaven for the European Championship as a coach. Both, he tells Sportblitz, get along well. He takes his ambition from sport with him to school. The goal is for the students to complete their daily tasks. From the school to the hall, he regains the composure and patience that are sometimes necessary in training.

The effort for Buchmann has increased again, because TSG is now dancing on the international stage again. In December, Bremerhaven took part in the World Championships, now they will start at the European Championships in Vienna on Saturday. Until then, the perfection of the choreography will be worked on meticulously.

High effort for the next coup

Training is therefore scheduled four to five times a week. “Hard but warm” is Buchmann, says dancer Vadim Merkel. The coach can also make a decent announcement, but is always human. “He leads the training very, very well and always prepares well,” praises Britta Korten. She should know, after all she has a lot of experience and was there in 2007 when TSG won their last World Cup title. Only sometimes, according to TSG President Horst Beer, is Buchmann perhaps a little too kind. After all, he wanted everyone to be happy and have fun in training.

The people of Bremen would also be happy if they reached their destination in the Austrian capital. After finishing 4th at the World Championships, her goal is clear: this time she wants a medal.
