The interaction between geothermal and FanCoil air conditioning systems lies in the latter’s ability to use subsoil thermal energy as an efficient and sustainable source of heat to air condition interior spaces. This integration helps improve energy efficiency and reduces the environmental footprint of HVAC systems. BTU EcoEnergy has designed a heat pump to work with geothermal.
FanCoil units receive hot or cold water from an outdoor unit, boiler or heat pump. A fan drives air through tubes through which water circulates, thus generating temperature changes. After passing through a filter, the air, whether hot or cold, is released into the indoor environment, air conditioning it.
BTU EcoEnergy equipment is made entirely of stainless steel, with copper radiators, offering an alternative to traditional aluminum radiators. In addition, its front design is interchangeable and is available in various colors and materials.
These systems include a temperature regulator that adjusts heat emission according to needs, keeping the programmed temperature constant in each space independently in the house.
In terms of energy efficiency, these devices achieve high performance with water temperatures between 50°C and 60°C, without requiring pressurization of the circuit. This makes them ideal for use with heat pumps, allowing up to 30% savings in energy consumption compared to conventional radiators, and makes them optimal for solar energy systems.
Additionally, a real heat meter provides information in real time, allowing quantitative adjustments to correct heat losses in the environment.
Even when the equipment is off but the water circulates, the heat emission is minimal, making it easy to turn off or reduce the temperature in unused rooms to reduce energy consumption. Thanks to its high recovery capacity, when you turn it on again, a comfortable temperature is reached in a short period of time (from 30 minutes to 1 hour). BTU Eco-Energy is an entirely nationally manufactured product, which significantly reduces maintenance and spare parts costs by having a permanent stock.
