Arguably the most popular of all K-Pop groups, BTS has announced a new album for June. At the end of their last concert in Las Vegas, the day of the release appeared on a screen: “06/10/2022”. The date was marked with the message (and the album title?) “We Are Bulletproof” – in translated words something like “We are bulletproof”.
After the announcement at their show in the US desert city, the band has now also posted a video via Twitter. In it you can see black and white excerpts of the septet before the mentioned release date appears.

Fans will have to be patient for details
The new album has now also been confirmed by their Big Hit Music label on the Weverse fan community platform. In sparse words, the high-revenue South Korean record label announced: “Hello. Here is big hit music. BTS will return with another new album on June 10, 2022. Details of the new album will be announced in a separate announcement at a later date.”
BTS’ last official solo single was titled “Permission To Dance” and was released in June 2021. Their fifth number-one hit in the States in ten months makes BTS the most-totaling group in such a short space of time since Michael Jackson 1988. The following Coldplay collaboration “My Universe” in September of last year also landed at the top of the charts.
It’s all good as long as the army stands guard
During their concert at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the South Koreans also talked about the Grammys 2022. There they performed their hit song “Butter”, for which they were nominated in the category “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance”. Ultimately, however, the trophy went to Doja Cat and SZA. Apparently no reason for despair for the boy band: “Guys, I know that there is a lot of criticism out there of the Grammys and the team itself. But, you know… what do we care?” said BTS musician RM, adding, “We didn’t come to Vegas for the Grammys. We came to Vegas for the ARMY.”
