FOOTBALL – After Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Vitesse’63, VV Hoogeveen’s title aspirations were put on hold for a while, but after the new defeat – last night at FC Klazienaveen – the title seems to be out of sight.
The blue shirts lost 3-1, after a great start by Klazienaveen that was already 3-0 within 25 minutes. Jesse Habing quickly made it 1-0, after which Patrick Bloemberg doubled the lead after about 12 minutes. The decision, in minute 23, came from the foot of again Jesse Habing. Ismael Ucan provided the only Hoogeveen goal six minutes after the break.
In this class, SVN’69 lost 2-1 to Dedemsvaart. The goal of the Nijeveners was made by Anton Bijker.
BSVV had no chance against leader Nieuwleusen, who won 6-0 in Bovensmilde.
