BSC Young Boys complete 16th championship in Switzerland

The BSC Young Boys have secured the title of Swiss soccer champion for the 16th time. The traditional club from the capital Bern won 5-1 (3-1) at home against FC Luzern on Sunday and was crowned champion at the second attempt. In the remaining five game days of the Super League, the Young Boys with the most valuable squad in the league (61.80 million euros) can no longer be dislodged from first place ahead of FC Basel.

Jean-Pierre Nsame, Christian Fassnacht and Sandro Lauper scored in the first half, while Fabian Rieder and Cedric Itten made it perfect in the second half to win the fifth title in the past six years.
