Feyenoord performed in a nicely filled Kuip with, among others, Jens Toornstra, Bryan Linssen, Cyriel Dessers, Jorrit Hendrix and Marcos Senesi. Newcomer Valentin Cojocaru was under the bar. Linssen opened the scoring for Feyenoord in the game, but RKC turned the game around via Iliass Bel Hassani and Roy Kuijpers before half-time.
