The four Brussels youths who are being held in Malta on suspicion of raping a 17-year-old girl and beating a 16-year-old boy are expected to remain in jail there until at least July 21. Only then is a new court hearing scheduled. According to the Maltese media, evidence has been found on the boys’ mobile phones. The mother of 20-year-old Amani, one of the suspects, tells of the phone calls with her son: “It was terrible, he was very sad and tells a very different story than the media in Malta.”
