Brussels Airport counted 4.4 million passengers during the summer holidays | News

“Although there were some delays due to the large number of passengers, every effort was made to ensure that passengers take their flight in the best possible conditions. This successful summer is due to good preparation, since the end of 2021, for the resumption of holiday traffic and efficient cooperation with the many partners”, says Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company. The airport was able to welcome more Dutch travelers and there were a lot of late bookings for the summer holidays.

As at all other European airports, there were operational flight delays at Brussels Airport this summer. These were partly due to flight delays from other airports.

In the meantime, the number of open vacancies is about 600, slightly above the average level before the corona crisis. Aviato, the employment center of the airport, has organized recruitment campaigns and job cafes together with the airport companies in recent months. Vacancies are continuously being filled at the more than 300 airport companies, but more are also being added.
